Welcome to Factory idle!

Build factories, keep transporting resources under control and make a lot of money

What to expect?

  • Joy and happiness when you mess up your factory :)
  • More challenging game play as time goes on!
  • Bigger and more complicated networks to produce stuff!

I am very happy to introduce my latest game and hope you enjoy this one as much as many of you have enjoyed and still are having fun with Reactor idle. With this game I tried to take my games to second level with much more more powerful engine and fixing many annoying stuff Reactor had – like background tab not running fast, saves getting lost etc. Have fun and definitely give constructive feedback so I can improve the game :)

Another bug! I have 2.5 billion research points! Why can't I buy engine components yet?

Are you going to fix ANYTHING?

notice how it just says 2.5billion but doesnt show you the thousands or hundreds. you may not have the exact amount needed so just be patient

And this is why number abbreviations annoy me in games like these. Sure, they're easier to read than 2,512,874,159 or whatever exact number we're talking here, and less screen space is needed for really large numbers into the quadrillion and higher, but when a price is listed as something like "2.5 billion", you're going to read that as "2.5 billion, exactly, and not a fraction more." Any fractions above that should be printed or else the player might be confused and delayed.

Aren't you going to address the bugs I mentioned?

I found a bug in the UI. When trying to configure a sorter, the dropdown menus for only 2 of the 3 exits are shown instead of all three. The Play/Pause and Fast Forward buttons also get covered up rather than getting pushed to the right where there's much, MUCH more unused space the UI could use.

Entering fullscreen has no effect, in fact it only exagurated things.

Excuse my sloppy, mouse-drawn annotations, but why not rearrange the UI to make use of a larger screen? Make sure nothing overlaps. And instead of padding the screen with blank space, why not upscale? Zoom the area in so it actually fills the screen! Immagine if someone was playing on a 1440p or 2160p monitor? The game would be even tinier! A zoom feature would be much useful here.

I find it interesting that you have no indication of the third setting for the Sorter, while I have a small indication that is fully functional:

This suggests that there's some setting (on our computers, browsers, etc.) that changes how things appear, but I have no idea what it is.

Currently the lack of full-screen means I don't have access to all of my upgrades any more. The page ends at Steel seller and I can't find a way to scroll it any lower. The only way to see the remaining upgrades is to move the game 1) to a different browser (Chrome, I normally use Firefox), 2) on a bigger monitor, and 3) full screen. If I only do two of these things, it doesn't work.

I think you should be able to rotate components. It doesn't make much sense why a 2x1 component like, e.g., the Iron Seller can only be placed vertically like, e.g., the Coal Buyer can only be placed horizontally. It seems like a rather arbitrary limitation, especially when you have a vertical and a horizontal Sorter as two separate items. Just simplify it and add a rotate key!

Is this the same version that was around a a decade ago, or is it updated/changed in any way?

It is same.
